White Sands Beach
OPEN: Daily. Gates unlocked at 7am, locked at sunset.
FEATURES:
- Access to boating, fishing, picnicing and swimming.
- Concrete boat ramp - need key & decal. Residents Only.
- Concrete covered pavilion
- Picnic area, benches, grills, picnic tables
- Outside shower
- 2 lavatories
- Regularly groomed white sand beach
SPECIAL EVENTS:
- Community party held here after July 4th Parade
- December Boat Parade
PARKING: Paved parking for 35 cars
PARTIES: 25 people maximum

SECURITY:
- Gates locked at sunset.
- Unlocked at 7am.
- Guard on duty during spring break and summer vacation
- Cars left overnight will be towed
- Decals needed for boat and trailer
- Lavatories - key needed
BEACH RULES:
- A complete set of rules are available at the Rec Center
- No horseplay, pushing, playing tag, throwing sand, stones, shells, etc.
- No glass containers
- No alcohol
- Appropriate bathing attire and conduct required
- Protect your feet. Warning: dock splinters & sharp shells in sand
- Parties should remove their trash and trash bags from beach
- Beach privileges subject to suspension for inappropriate behavior Boat Rules

- Speed limit is Four (4 mph) Miles Per Hour.
- Boats proceed south from take off area, travel counter clockwise
- Boats pulling skiers must have wide angle mirror
- All skiers/tubers must wear a life preserver. All boats must carry one preserver for each passenger.
- Boats or water craft at beach must be owned by a resident at least 16 years old or operated by a person over 14 years old with approved Coast Guard license.
- Boats or water craft must be registered and display current CRD boat decal
- Boats may be moored at beach if resident is on board
- Use extreme caution when towing/dropping skiers or tubers
- Stay clear of docks, fishing boats, slalom course and ski jumps
- Beach privileges subject to suspension for inappropriate behavior.
- Violators will be asked to remove their boat and leave White Sands Beach.
- No large rental equipment (i.e. Moon Walks, etc.) can be used. Such large equipment would encumber the park space making it difficult for any other residents to use the park.
DOGS: Absolutely no dogs allowed at White

Original
Carrollwood Park
OPEN: DAILY. Sunrise to sunset
HISTORY: Original site of a defunct waste water treatment plant that previously
served Original Carrollwood. The land was acquired by the Carrollwood Recreation
District pursuant to a majority vote of the residents in 1992. The final
annual mortgage payment of $92,000 was made during the spring 2004.

RULES:
- Rules are posted on gate
- No organized team sports or practice
- No
scouts or group activities without prior approval
- No motorized vehicles
in park
- No alcohol
- Parties should remove their trash and
trash bags from park
- Large rental equipment (i.e. Moon Walks, etc.) can be used after the park has been reserved and proper insurance certificates are recieved by the Recreation Center Office.
DOGS: This is the only facility in
Original Carrollwood that permits dogs. However, all dogs must remain
on a leash, except when inside dog run. Of course owners are expected
to clean up after their pets. The "on leash" rule
is a Hillsborough County ordinance and must be observed. The CRD board
will enforce all dog rules for the health and safety of our residents.
Warnings will be given in writing to those residents not in compliance;
repeat offenders will lose their park privileges.

Scotty
Cooper Park
OPEN: DAILY. Sunrise to sunset
HISTORY: Built in 1964, original site
of Carrollwood beach and boat ramp. Renovations scheduled for 2006.

- Singles 1 ½ hours

- Adults have priority on courts during
weekends and after 6pm weekdays
- Juniors under 18 have priority
weekdays from 3-6 pm
- Appropriate tennis attire and conduct required
- Reservations valid up to 10 minutes after posted time
- Private lessons must be by an approved instructor
